Honey Garlic Glazed Chicken Thighs

Ingredients:

  • 6 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (or rice vinegar)
  • ½ teaspoon chili flakes (optional, for a kick)
  • Fresh parsley or green onions, for garnish
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)

Directions:

  1. Season the Chicken:
Pat chicken thighs dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Sear the Chicken:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken thighs and sear for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and nearly cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. Make the Glaze:
In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds. Stir in honey, soy sauce, vinegar, and chili flakes. Simmer for 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Glaze the Chicken:
Return chicken to the skillet and coat in the sauce. Reduce heat and cook for another 5–7 minutes, flipping occasionally, until chicken is fully cooked and glaze is sticky and shiny.
  5. Serve:
Garnish with chopped parsley or green onions and sesame seeds. Serve with rice, roasted veggies, or a side salad.
